Arkansas CURE is one of many organizations that is networking resources and leveraging ideas into
tangible benefits for all.
On Saturday, October 29, 2011, Arkansas CURE
held its annual day of Pride & Prayer, celebrated in the Rotunda of
the Arkansas State Capitol building in Little Rock.
At right and below: The program opened with a capella song, the
harmonious notes of soul-stirring hymnals resonated with special
vibrato throughout the polished marble halls.

| Subsequent to formal introductions
(photo at right), Arkansas CURE founder and leader, Sis.
Effie Bowers, DAV, (photo below) took the
podium, expressing thanks and appreciation for all the time and energy
invested by CURE volunteers, she explained how CURE advocates
regularly visit with juvenile detainees, working with them to piece
together opportunities and services that will enable them, upon
release from incarceration, to establish and build a meaningful life
in society. |
