| FALL 2011 OPEN HOUSE |
For
those of us who serve ATAT as directors, our Open House Meet & Greet,
held Sunday, October 16, at the Main branch of the downtown public
library, was a triple-dip celebration.
Our executive director returned from a 2-month business trip to
China on October 11th, our weekly radio-talk show, "It Could Be You,"
debuted October 12th, and our open house on the 16th topped off our
exciting week.
At right, left to right: Robert Kim Combs, Executive
Director, Arkansas Time After Time, Christine Beems, Communication
Director, Miriam Graham, Recruitment Director, and Carla Swanson,
Correspondence Director, enjoyed a business-lunch at the Community
Bakery in Little Rock just prior to the ATAT open house. The 'fans and
flags' being displayed by the women came from China. |

A
good-sized group of registrants and their spouses mixed and mingled
with ATAT advocates and interested others in the public meeting room
provided by the Little Rock public library.

ATAT (standing, far left) answered questions posed by attendees at the

| Guests and advocates came from as far away as
Russellville, Mountain View, Choctaw, McCrory, Heber Springs, Concord
and Clinton. ATAT Steering Committee members pictured below with
guests include Miriam Graham, ATAT Recruitment Director (left
photo, red dress), Carla Swanson, ATAT Correspondence Director (center
photo, white blouse), and.Lynn Gilmor, ATAT Lobbying Director (right
photo, purple blouse).
|
|
A veritable banquet of nibbles and noshies, provided
by ATAT Correspondence Director Carla Swanson, included an array of
cheeses, a variety of luncheon meat cubes, and assortment of fruit
chunks, veggies spears with dip and deviled eggs, topped off with a
spectacular orange-tango punch.

|
| Our guests were also greeted by our exhibit table and
new exhibit poster (both below).
|
All of which was put to very good use by members of
the media who rewarded our efforts with a stellar profile piece on the
evening news! Take a look at our
Fall Open House as reported by KARK-TV. When the page opens in
a new window, make sure to click the 'play video' link!!!
