Being the tenacious Pollyanna I redundantly am, I would like to
believe the assertions made and conclusions drawn in the following
note are ill-grounded, fallacious and so far from the truth, the whole
truth and nothing but the truth as to be dismissed out of hand. Sadly,
experience has taught me otherwise. And tho there are a few good
atty's among us, as the writer of the following strongly asserts, let
the buyer beware and I would add, we must do something to change all
of this:
Back in 1999 I had just gotten out of federal prison. I was in
prison because I founded a church and grew marijuana openly on the
church property. As a result of my experience with lawyers I wrote a
pamphlet titled "Lawyers and the Law". I accused the Bar Association
of being a criminal conspiracy that uses the marijuana laws for
extortion of money from the victims of drug busts. I distributed this
pamphlet at my table at Farmers Market and other venues. The lawyers
that read it, expect for one, hated it and me for distributing it. The
one lawyer that didn't hate it donated $100 to the church in support.
One lawyer threatened me with murder for distributing it.
Many of my so-called friends also criticized me for my pamphlet saying
that my claims went too far, and were too extreme. Two years after the
original pamphlet was written, the Canadian Lawyer magazine published
an editorial that duplicated my claims almost word for word. They
called the marijuana laws "an extortion" - simply an attempt by
lawyers to extort money from people in order to avoid prison.
I included a copy of that editorial with my pamphlet to illustrate
that some lawyers understood and had the guts to tell the truth about
the marijuana laws. Recently my partner in crime gave me a book
(Reefer Madness) she discovered in the Salvation Army book bin. It is
water damaged and very ugly, but I finally read it and lo and behold
this is what it says.
The Author is questioning a Howard Diller who is a criminal defense
attorney specializing in drug cases. But this man is not just a
criminal defense attorney; he is the former "counsel" to the Bureau of
Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. He is described as "an undercover agent
in the New York office in 1957" who "got a law degree and a promotion
to the legal division of the Bureau". He then retired to private
criminal law practice. From page 194 to 216 the lawyer describes his
times with Henry Anslinger and the Bureau. "Reefer Madness" by Larry
Sloman, page 213:
"When did you first go into private practice?"
"In 1962. But the defense bar, the lawyers defending drug cases for
example, none of us as a group or individually ever did anything
realistically, as far as approaching marijuana laws, to change them.
They were great sources of revenue for us. Even the goody-goody
lawyers never made an issue of it. They would occasionally scream
about it, but they never did anything more then that. They never went
to the legislature and said, 'listen, these laws are absurd.' Now when
there is virtually no marijuana law enforcement in the city (New York
in 1978), the lawyers are screaming, 'Bring back those strong
marijuana laws.'"
"You’re kidding!"
"No, it’s the money. If you asked the lawyers, they would make the
smoking of a cigarette - the first offense - a misdemeanor, and the
second offense, a felony. It's good for business. The worst thing that
could happen would be a lack of enforcement. Do you know that with the
lack of enforcement of gambling laws there are hundreds of lawyers out
of business? Very displeased with that. So, the lawyers, my ilk, would
love the marijuana busts. The bar is not concerned with what is right
and what is wrong. Proprieties. They're concerned with having as much
business as possible. If the bar were able to vote secretly in the
legislature, they would vote to impose the same penalties on marijuana
as on heroin and cocaine. Except they smoke themselves."
So, this is the Truth. The Bar Association is a criminal conspiracy
that uses victimless crime laws as a source in income. All judges,
prosecuting, civil forfeiture and defense attorneys are members of the
Bar Association. They want to hurt us so they can make money. Beware!

Also, whilst you are thinking on this, take a look at this
marvelous moment in
time, when a brave young woman put the entire UN and the rest
of the 'grown up' world in proper perspective:
"The wolf will live with the lamb, the
leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the
yearling together; and a little child will lead them."

what really constitutes 'sustainable' -- which (imho) is a subject we
all deserve to deeply delve...
Until next time, keep well. Keep honest. Be a person of integrity and

The Ozarks are a great place for enjoying a vacation. Your family
might want to consider a timeshare might be a great option for
yearly vacations.
Timeshares are a great way to vacation if done right.
Timeshare resale can help save anywhere between 30-70% of what
retail cost might be. Anywhere in the Ozarks might be a great
place to rent and
buy timeshare properties, but it is also a prime location for
those who are looking to
sell timeshare properties too! |
