MIXING COLORS

re: "...stones better left unturned..."

I think that this is the 'core' lesson of life. To learn to *know* when to turn a stone over, and when to not. Artful discernment... yet there is a pragmatic/academic side... like learning 'how to' mix primary colors to create a rainbow... the science enables more (and more) masterful application of the art.

And it seems to me that perhaps somehow the 'thugs' have simply never learned 'how to mix colors' -- Thus no matter how hard they 'try' to 'do the right thing' the images they craft on the canvas of life all turn out muddied and mottled; distorted; devoid of vibrancy and while often tumultuously energetic, lacking zest and exuberance for life.

Being ignorant of the 'cause' of this 'muddied' reality (ie: their own lack of understanding, which is not 'a crime' in and of itself, but results in the commission of crimes every day), the perpetrator of the 'offense' (which has resulted from improper mixing of the primary colors) is oblivious to being the cause and thus feels victimized... unaware that in the very activity of seeing self as a victim, the colors are autonomically mixed and blended to paint a crystal clear image of that (muddied) landscape on the (self-engendered) scenery of life.

And the more deeply a person is entrenched in this debilitating modality, every cycle of karma comes with a battering ram to beat them again (and again, and again) on the head with unwittingly self-inflicted woes...

Ah, but could they only learn to mix colors...

Which of course, anyone 'can'... but how many do...??? As you said, 'only those who *want* to'. It *must* be a personal choice, akin (me thinks) to threading a camel through the eye of a needle... And as with vegetarianism, there are many roads which lead to Rome and each of us must find our own way. Still the crux is 'choosing' the way that for each of us (intuitively) 'feels the best'. Anyway...

I am really 'creaky and groany' this morning. Have been 'hammering' (both literally and figuratively) at the castle, 4 to 6 hours nearly every day for over a week. The appraisal will be next week and though the place is looking tremendously improved, there is still much I would like to get done, just to put the frosting on that cake....

In this Spirit of Truth, let us celebrate.....

(((hugs)))
