Laptop Bootcamp: One 2-hour hands-on
workshop designed to familiarize you with the essential fundamentals
of computering (copy-and-paste, saving files, installing and opening
applications, searching the Internet, emailing, etc.). Recommended
for anyone who would like more enjoyment (and less frustration) from
computerized communications.
Professional Communications: Six 2-hour
hands-on workshops covering the nuts-and-bolts of creating
documents, mail lists, blog-posting, spreadsheets, photos &
graphics. Recommended for anyone who has responsibility for
authoring documents, managing communications, marketing and/or
project development for a business, organization or program. Over
the course of six workshops participants will develop the skills
necessary to:
- Design a simple business or product logo/icon.
- Design a standard business letterhead.
- Design a promotional flyer for print and/or
distribution as a PDF.
- Process photos for posting to website or
insertion in flyers.
- Develop an electronic mailing list.
- Set-up and manage a WordPress blog.
- Write and distribute a news release.
