OLA PROPOSED/ADOPTED “ORGANIZATIONAL" MEETING AGENDA/MINUTES, Clinton Community Center, September 28, 2002

I          Welcome & Introductions

Meeting convened 12:00 noon, Larry Williams, Lula Holeman, Daniel Weiss, Adam Weiss, Terry Presnell, Robert Reed, Scott Lamb, and Christine Weiss, attending. Merl Eoff, Alice Chambers, Roger Campbell and David Buyers expressed regrets.

II.      Review, Refine, Adopt:  Agenda

Larry Williams appointed by acclamation to chair this meeting.

III.    Review, Refine, Adopt: Constitution

Constitution adopted verbatim, through and inclusive of Article Three by unanimous accord. Decision made, by consensus, to table further discussion, refinement and other actions until next General Business meeting (TBA).

IV.     Nominate & Elect Executive Committee

Decision made, by consensus, to table discussion and action until next General Business meeting (TBA).

V.      Call for New Business

Discussion about the "how tos" of building an organization. Discussion about whether it was felt there was sufficient interest in developing an organization such as OLA is proposed to be. Decision to produce a "voter education" meeting topical the "Axe the Tax" and "Animal Cruelty" November ballot initiatives, to be held October 24 "in the evening" at a location to be announced, with the preferred location identified as the Petit Jean Electric Cooperative Community Room, showcasing representative pro/con speakers to address these topics.

All those present and any interested others shall work together to accomplish this.

VI.     Set Time, Date, Location: Next Meeting

Decision made, by consensus, to table discussion about having another General Business meeting until response to the proposed "voter education assembly" is evident.

Meeting adjourned at approximately 2:00pm
