Text Box: Writers Barbara Massie and Patricia Oplinger started the Spring River Branch in 2001. They were members of the Arkansas Pioneer Branch in Little Rock for several years. In the summer of 2001 they reached out to women in this area by holding three informal meeting in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. They applied to charter a new branch when it become evident that this area was rich with talented women.   Charter Members: Virginia E.
