The
Van Buren County Aging Program Inc.
(VBCAP) is a private non-profit Senior Citizen Center & Elder
Service Provider with administrative offices located in the same

VBCAP
works under contract with the White River Area Agency on Aging Inc., to provide support services for Senior
Citizens and enable them to live longer, healthier, happier, and more
independent lives. These services include:
Chore
and Homemaker Services provided to
Seniors include help with housekeeping, running errands, paying bills,
shopping, mopping floors, cleaning cupboards and refrigerators, washing
dishes, doing laundry, changing bed-linens, raking leaves, and preparing
meals.
Home
Delivered Meals for homebound
Seniors are nutritionally balanced and delivered hot and ready to eat,
or frozen for enjoyment at a later time.
Congregate
Meals afford Seniors the
opportunity to socialize among their peers at a local Senior Center
where they play dominos, sing songs, and take pleasure in other forms of
recreation while enjoying a nutritious lunch. Meals are served regularly
at the Clinton Senior Citizen Center and also at satellite Center
locations in Shirley, Scotland and Fairfield Bay.
Transportation
Service provides Seniors who are
unable to drive with access to health care appointments, grocery
shopping, bill paying, and visits to their local Senior Center for meals
and recreation.
VBCAP
is funded in-part by federal and state tax dollars in accord of the
Older Americans Act (OAA) of 1965, however this funding falls far short
of meeting the existing need. Because of this, VBCAP relies heavily on
support from private donors to ensure the continuation of these
services. Contributions are sincerely appreciated.
